Strabismus is another medical condition, usually diagnosed in children, in which the muscles that control the movements of the eyes are not parallel. The resulting abnormal movements of the eyes have been known to cause early blindness.

Botox, when injected into the muscles surrounding the eye have often resulted in a relaxation of the eye muscles. This has shown to allow the eyes to move in sync with each other. Injections of Botox have also been shown to have some effect in alleviating hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, by preventing the release of acetylcholine into the muscles that control the sweat glands.
